TheNakedHippie   Organic T-shirts

Erin and I have been in a relationship for almost 3 years. We met when I took her yoga class at the gym and have been dating ever since.  Our first date was at Starbucks and we spoke for 8 hours, about ... well everything!  About a year later we decided to start TheNakedHippie together, because we wanted to continue traveling and sharing our inspiration and creativity with others all while having a positive effect on the earth and those around us. 

About the t-shirts: We chose the softest organic cotton t-shirts we can find on the market, because despite the fact that we love the organic thing, we are most definitely not a fan of brillo pads on the skin!  We also wanted a fitted t-shirt that didn’t look more like a poncho than a shirt (no offense to ponchos).  The designs are a joint effort, Erin and I travel and love to find inspiration from everywhere.  We take our time in designing our t-shirts, because we really believe in quality over quantity. The ink used for printing is water-based and virtually free of toxins. All of our shipping materials are also recycled - boxes, tags, and without junk like bubble wrap or tissue paper.  We also use paperless receipts, since the paper ones just end up getting thrown out anyway. 

In 2007 I was looking to purchase a black and brown purse. I figured, I could save lots of time by not having to switch purses from black to brown. I had no luck so I decided to make one. I thought it might be nice to crochet ribbon instead of yarn and it worked out beautifully. Upon completion of my new bag the name Greenpurse just popped into my head. I said to myself, “That would be a great name for a business”. I wrote it down on my chalk board in the kitchen and cogitated about what Greenpurse could be. The next day when I awoke I started making purses and have been making them ever since. I have seven purse lines and a variety of decorations, hats, scarves and costume jewelry.. My creations are all crafted from vintage materials, clothes in disrepair, plastic bags of all kinds, leather goods and much more. My mind is forever filled with ideas, therefore, I’m always creating new and interesting designs. I hold workshops and home parties as well as fashion custom bags to suit your every need. I am an accredited  member of the Better Business Bureau, GreenPeople and Madison Who’s Who. Appearances and interviews include the Sheboygan Press, The Morning Blend, WFRV TV Green Bay and WMTV Channel 15 in Madison.
